When the Seed Hypermedia desktop app updates, it occasionally needs to run database migrations. Some of these migrations can take a long time. During this period, the app technically launches, but no window appears, which can confuse users and make them think the app is broken. There might also be a bug.

To improve this experience, could we display a minimal window immediately on launch—something like a blank frame with an animated GIF or simple loading indicator—showing a message such as:

This would reassure users that the app is working as intended and simply completing necessary background tasks.
