In Ghost Town, if we introduce users to joining sites, they will create and participate in more communities. Untitled Document
Problem
Removing subscriptions currently causes the “Joined Sites” label to disappear, which breaks a core mental model for users. Without this label, users entirely lose the sense of belonging to sites.
Solution
Ensure that the concept of site membership is visible and understandable from the start. From this argumentation.
Always display the “Joined Sites” label, even when empty.
Add guidance (e.g., “Click ‘Join’ on a site to get started”).
Auto-join to seed support when a user has zero memberships.
